The Bible says that we were created in such a way that we are capable of attaining oneness with God and each other.  What would it look like if the church really believed this and started pursuing it seriously?

The Intimacy of Communion | Francis Chan

Many Christians might have an assumption that the sacredness, holiness, and access to God was more intense in the Old Testament, while the New Testament is more relaxed on such topics. Francis confronts this misconception through this teaching on communion, explaining that we have even greater access to God's presence now through the participation of the Lord's supper. Communion isn't something we can do alone. We desperately need the Church body to come together for this sacred act.
