Jesus Isn’t Just Your Savior

Jesus never invited people to simply add Him to the lives they were already living. He called them to follow Him, to surrender control, take up their cross, and trust Him no matter the cost.

In this message, Francis looks at Jesus’ words in Matthew 28 and Luke 14 and reminds us of something we can easily forget: Jesus is not only Savior. He is Lord. He has all authority, and following Him means allowing Him to determine the direction of our lives.

That kind of surrender can sound costly and Jesus never pretended otherwise. He told His followers to count the cost. But what we receive is far greater than anything we could give up. We get Jesus, Himself.

The question isn’t whether following Jesus will always be easy. The question is whether we believe He’s worth following wherever He leads.
